Not to name names but certain people
(A small voice from the background calls out 'Sarah...')
have been complaining
(Many people in unison loudly say 'Sarah!')
about me not updating my blog enough.
(All voices SCREAM together 'SARAH!!')
YOU IN THE BACK! STOP INTERRUPTING ME!
And so, I bring to you an entry. I am not yet sure what it's going to be about, but I think I'll just go over a few things.
1. On the old poll (I say potato, you say...) most people actually didn't understand what I mean. Don't you all know, 'potato, potahto, tomato, tomahto'? I thought that was something everyone learned. Maybe it's just me?
2. I don't know if you all remember my 'I am' poem, but I have some good news! I had entered a poetry competition, using that poem, just for extra credit. A few weeks ago, I got a note in the mail saying 'Congratulations! Your poem has been chosen to be published in our anthology!'. As you can imagine, I was shocked, but VERY happy.
3. Valentines day is coming up... I'm going to change my background to be a bit more... festive. Just wondering, what are your all's thoughts on Valentines day? Love it? Hate it? Be sure to comment. I really do enjoy reading all of your comments.
4. Alright, as you can see, I have been trying in vain to get a decent 2nd tense story written. You have to admit, my second try was pretty good. If you disagree...
(The same small voice says 'Sarah...')
YOU IN THE BACK! I SAID QUIET!
...Anyways, as I was saying, if you disagree, be sure to voice your opinion by either voting on my poll, or leaving a comment. I thrive off feedback.
And there you have it. I hope this satisfied those of you who have wanted to hear from me more. Honestly though, I've made like 3 posts in 1 month. That is an all time high for me. Any more, and I'd be overdoing it. Right?!
Alright. Rant over.

2nd Try at 2nd Tense
A dim, orange light filled the room. You are partially reminded of the tea you are drinking, the tea that is specially infused with oranges and raspberries. You slowly settle down into your big, fluffy armchair and let out a sight of relief. Yes, the day has been boring, but you know that it’s better than being depressing. You’re about to turn in, since you are tired, after all, when you hear your old vintage telephone ring. You trudge over, quite annoyed really, but answer the phone nonetheless. It was Sally. Sally was a horrible friend of yours; the type that rubs her good fortune in your face any time she gets the chance. So, of course, you act pleased to hear from her. Maybe if you act interested, she’ll leave you alone. You engage in a nice little chat, talking about the weather and other things, when she brings up her ‘good fortune’”. Oh Angelica darling” she says “I forgot to tell you! I am inviting you to my wedding!”. You stand, shocked, wondering how in the world this has happened without you hearing about every second of it. She says "Yes! It was sort of a quick thing- but I didn't want to miss my chance with Rick!". Your jaw dropped to the floor. Rick? Your best friend Rick? The person you've been in love with for years Rick? You roll you eyes, thinkning 'this could be interesting'.

Confession
Alright everyone. I have a confession. I have been attempting to work on my story, "River of Dreams". However, I was pulled away. I found an awesome new way of writing! Two words; second person. Genius right? So, I started a little story in that tense, and I would like to share it with you.
Chapter 1:The Light
You walk in the door, nearly blinded by the sudden bright light. You try to raise your hand, to block the rays, but you can’t. Your whole body is completely paralyzed. Your eyes, the only thing able to move, twitch back and forth. You’re starting to get very worried when you hear a deep voice say “Welcome, welcome! I trust you and your family are well?” You try to scream, or make some sort of protesting noise, but it feels as if your voice box was frozen. Your family was murdered a week ago, and you had been searching long and hard to find the culprit. “Oh dear, are you trying to say something? Perhaps you wish to see your captor? Very well; I shall oblige”. A dark, hooded somewhat gangly figure appeared, shattering the bright light. You immediately recognize him. Suddenly, a wave of warmth washes over you. You can move again! You look the man straight in his deep, dark eyes. Finally, you do what you have been waiting to do for a week. You spit in his face. “Arghhh!” He screams. Your saliva appears to be burning his flesh! You have to admit; you are a bit shocked (the spit had only been planned to be a distraction) but you are pleased with yourself none the less. In the murderer’s final seconds of life, he looks up at you, a scowl permanently etched into his face. “This is not the end; you should know I do not act alone. You have only cut of one head of Hydra. Prepare for the wrath of two more!” His eyes close. You gulp. And then you run.
Thats it folks!
Now I must go. Writing is calling me.

It's the New Year!! Happy New Year!! I have a story for you guys already! I thought I would celebrate 2010, so I fired a party popper. It's contents immediately blew into my face. I thought I had to redeem myself, so I ran inside and grabbed another. I fired it, and there was nothing in it -_-.

Is this a sign of what is to come in 2010? Only time will tell!

Last Post for 2009 *SIGH*
Well, here it is. The end of the year. Oh, how time flies! Just yesterday, I remember coming into 2009, hoping that the world wouldn't end (you see, for the past decade, it seems that the entire human population has had their mind set on the destruction of our planet). But now, I bring you some interesting information about the Big Bang.
Last night, or the night before, I was watching a program about the Big Bang- rather appropriate for the New Year, I think. Anyways, they had it down to the first second of the universe- how gravity was created, how atoms were formed etc. It was really quite interesting, and I actually understood it. That is, until they got to how mass came to be. They made this huge deal about not knowing about how these atoms acquired their mass- it was the one missing puzzle pieces that no one could figure out.
Then, all of a sudden, a British scientist came up with a theory. Mass was created by an invisible force field that passed through the universe. Yes! It all makes sense now! Something we cannot see or touch, something we have no evidence exists, created mass.
But even though we scientist believe in this theory, we are going to build the world's largest machine in Switzerland, one that takes billions of dollars and hundreds of scientists to build, to prove this theory, which has no real evidence, correct. BEEP! Wrong answer. Am I the only one who finds this theory a bit, lets say, shady?
That actually reminds me of one of those 'Hidden Driveway' signs you see when driving about town. They warn you of a hidden driveway, yes, but if you see the hidden driveway, is it, or is it not, no longer hidden? And if no one has seen this hidden driveway, which must be the case for it to maintain the 'hidden' label, how can they be sure it exists? Folks, these are questions that cross my mind every day.
Anyhow, I just felt that before the New Year came around, I should rant for one more time. You never know when the world will burst into a million tiny pieces, or be attacked by anti matter after all.
Just something to think about. Now we shall wave goodbye to the good, bad and ugly times of 2009, and offer a plate of newly baked cookies to 2010. Or is that Santa Claus. I can never remember.
Doesn't matter. Happy New Year!!

Christmas...
It's the most wonderful time...of the year.
Unless of course you are a deer. Then it's probably time to stay home; for not all hunters are as dumb as these...
Two hunters are in the woods, hunting for deer. One looks down and sees that the other guy is wearing fancy sneakers. He says "Hey- why are you wearing those shoes?". The guy said "Well, you know, there are a lot of bears in these woods." The other guy laughs "Are you stupid? Don't you know you can't outrun a bear?!"There is a long silence. The man wearing the sneakers looks up with a smirk on his face and says"I don't have to outrun the bear- all I have to do is outrun you!".
Anyways, to get ya'll even MORE into the Christmas Spirit, please enjoy the following; a gift from me to you.

I personally prefer the Heat Miser, but feel free to share your opinions.

~The week after Halloween~
It's here; the most evil week of all. Post Halloween week. Oh sure, Halloween can be fun and all, with the trick or treating and such, but the weeks following it are just terrible. For one thing, there is a lot of candy in the house. I'm sure all of you know what happens when candy is present. You've got it; the candy is eaten. Candy not only spoils your appetite, but it also gives you a horrible stomach ache. Believe me- I know.
I haven't witnessed this first hand, but I also hear that candy makes young children hyper. So to all of you with little brothers and sisters, they will for sure be driving you up the wall.
I've said it once and I'll say it again:
~=~=~=~=~ I am glad to be an only child!~=~=~=~=~
I also know that after dressing up in extravagant costumes, one feels rather boring in normal clothes. I mean, after dressing up as Little Red Riding Hood, who wouldn't feel a bit bland without a cape?
So to all of you poor post-Halloween sufferers, I have a simple solution. Make everyday Halloween! It seems to work well for Lady Gaga- she never looks bored ^_^.
On another note, I will have you all know that Brown-Haired Alyssa won in the polls! I will probably be releasing another chapter soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
That is all,
Kajsa*

This piece is a distorted picture of myself, just to let you guys know.

Kajsa's a poet and I didn't know it! :)
Hello ladies and gentlemen;
I am Dr. Burgermeistermeisterburger.
Some of you may know me from Kajsa’s reading journal, others may know me from Kajsa’s Science presentation on allergies, and a select few may know me from Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I assure you that I have nothing against toys at this present time, however, I would prefer if you would kindly remove all of them from the premises.
Anyways, Kajsa, the owner and writer of this blog, is currently busy doing her homework (after putting it off for a while, that is. Tsk tsk!), therefore she asked me to update her blog with this poem she 'had' to start in English. She didn't sound very enthusiastic about it, but I personally think as a first draft, that it's rather good! Have a look...
'I am'
I am myself;
A Pandora’s box full of words, sights, ideas, and dreams.
I am myself;
A young girl who believes that the only true religion should be Love.
I am myself;
Full of many fears, even though I constantly tell myself otherwise.
I am myself;
With so many irregularities that I barely know them all.
I am myself;
Not a poet, a novelist or a reporter; just a student trying to find her passion.
I am myself;
Nothing and no one can change that
Written by Kajsa, September 14th 2009.
Pretty 'cool', as you young kids say, right?
I will leave you with that for now.
Ta-ta!
Dr. Burgermeistermeisterburger
P.S Here's a funny joke that Kajsa found.
A couple of hunters are out in the woods in the deep south when one of them falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing, and his eyes are rolled back in his head.
The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls 911. He gasps to the operator, "My friend is dead! What can I do?"
The operator, in a calm and soothing voice, says, "Alright, take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead."
There is silence, and then a gun shot is heard.
The hunter comes back on the line. "Okay. Now what??"

Puzzles..
Writing is like a thousand piece puzzle in many ways. In the beginning, all that you have is a photo, or a picture in your mind of how it will turn out. However, it may take a long time to find all the right pieces to make that end product possible.
When you're putting the puzzle together, you often find yourself stuck in a rut, just staring at the pieces, wondering which one will fit. That is, until, out of the blue, you have a lead. And then you're on a roll. I am, at this moment, 'stuck in a rut'. I have been searching and searching for that promising lead for the past few weeks, but I still cant find that last piece of the puzzle for my story!
I am thinking about what should happen next, and I would like to ask a bit of input from you all. Do you think Alyssa is a freckly red-head, a short girl with wavy brown hair, or something completely different? How do you picture Brent? Draw a picture or dig those great descriptive words from the back of your brain, and when you comment, be sure to include them :). I love to hear what you have to say!
Enjoy the last few days of your summer, and thanks for all of your support!

A story I am writing...
Here is a story I have started. It is only the first two chapters, the third chapter will be out soon :).
Chapter 1: Sweet Dreams
She was in a place of color, almost like a kaleidoscope. It was a beautiful place, with tall trees that reached into the skies like giants trying to stop the sun from falling down. Alyssa wasn’t sure where she was, but she was desperately searching for someone to talk to, because one gets awfully lonely in other people’s dreams. She suddenly came across a boy of her age. After inspecting him further, it seemed that he was one of her very cute classmates at Laguna Del Carbon High, Brent Callahan.
Now, let me ask you readers a question; if you saw a very very cute boy in a dream, what would you do? Would you talk to him? Maybe try to influence him to do something in real life? Well, Alyssa is not like you. Alyssa has a boyfriend, so she isn’t sure why this boy is coming into her nighttime dreams.
“Excuse me,” she started walking towards Brent, and he, sensing she was rather annoyed, walked away quickly and with purpose “Hey, you! Excuse me; why in the world are you in my dream?”
“Me? Me? Me, Brent Callahan, interrupt a nobody like you while you’re is dreaming? No way girl, I am pretty sure that you have entered my dream.”
There was a long silence. It’s not a very fun thing to be called a nobody, but I’m sure that you all know that.
“You didn’t have to be like that” was all Alyssa could muster out of her mouth.
Brent looked at his shoes. He didn’t know what to say. He had never talked to a girl like that in real life, but in his dreams, he had a burst of confidence. Now all that confidence was gone, and all that was left was guilt.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled, still feeling embarrassed. And then, he thought up a great idea. “Let me make it up to you!” And he grabbed her hand and ran with her through a field of flowers to his special secret place.
Chapter Two:Wake-Up Call
Brent pulled her close, with a twinkle in his eye, they both smiled, and he was about to kiss her when…
“Alyssa? Alyssa, wake up! You’re late!” Her mother yelled.
Poof! It was gone. Just like that. All gone.
How could that have been a dream? Alyssa thought furiously, it felt so real!
“Alyssa Angel Bauman, get up right this moment or you’re grounded”.
She shot up, out of bed, and trudged into the shower, still not totally sure what had happened last night. It was the first day of 10th grade, the second year of high school life. It was vital that when she came into school today, she looked like a somebody.
“Even though everyone knows I’m a nobody” she mumbled to herself. She thought about what to wear, which resulted in 10 minutes of pulling clothes on and off, she finally settled with a skirt that was a little bit shorter than the school dress code allowed, and a pink ribbed tank top. Pink was her favorite color, but only if it was hot pink. After grabbing a granola bar and her lunch money, Alyssa sped out the door to the bus, hoping her mother would not notice the length (or shortness) of her skirt. Today she was lucky; her mom was pecking at the keyboard on her laptop like a starved crow, hoping to earn a little extra money by working overtime. Ever since Alyssa’s father died, cash had been tight, and they could just barely afford their small flat in California.
When Alyssa sat down on the hot, sticky plastic seats the bus provided, she sighed. The Dream felt so real, even if it was not her own. She prayed to whoever controlled her nighttime mind excursions that she would see Brent again soon. But for now, her first period English class was waiting. Alyssa despised English more than anything in this dreary world she lived in.

I'm baaaack!!!
Hello! I'm baaaack! *Shields face from rotten tomatoes*.Alright, alright, I know that I have not written in.... well, a long time. How do I know this? Not only have I been receiving hate mail but my mother has also informed me that if I do not blog right this second that she will *gasp!* hide my new Sims 3 game! Oh, the insanity of it all! You know, maybe I could write a little more if my allowance was increased... you could even think of the increase as royalties :).
Okay, new subject now. I, being sick at this time, have been watching online movies (courtesy of Netflix). So far, I have seen 'Scooby Doo and the Witches Ghost' and 'The Never-Ending Story'. I would have seen 'Never-Ending Story II' but sadly, it wasn't watchable online. Needless to say, I now have both movies’ theme songs stuck in my head.
'It's the never-ending stooooOOOOoorryyyyy!'
Now, The Never-Ending Story plot got me thinking (again); is it possible that we all live in a book or someone's head? I have already shared my theory with Mary (she was pretty worried about me), Laura (she out her hand on my forehead to check if I was sick) and now, all of you. So what do you think? Is it at all possible? Tell me in my new poll!
I will now wrap it up. I truly promise I will write more (Ha! I bet that will turn out just like my promise not to use cheats in my computer games :) )
Adios and I hope you all continue to have a great summer (especially if you are in Greece!)

Spring cleaning...
I am terribly sorry that I haven't written in a while- will you believe blog writers block? Not only that, but I have been very busy indeed.
I am alone all day (okay, only half a day, but still) while my mom works. During this time, I do my daily duties, involving the cleaning of my room. I feel that cleaning my room all alone may be too perilous of a task for a young mind like mine to handle :). But anyways, while I was supposed to be cleaning my room, I, a talented procrastinator, was brainstorming on reasons why I should NOT have to clean my room. In this time, I thought up a genius idea- one that might save me the hard work. What I was doing (Or was supposed to be doing) would be considered "Spring Cleaning". Now, answer me this- why should I have to Spring Clean in the Summer? It is officially Summer, school is out and, amazingly it was 95̊ F outside today (an all-time high in my cold State of which I live). Taking all of this information into consideration, I have come to the conclusion that I should not be made to do something in the Summer which should have been done (and it was done, I assure you) in the Spring. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that my mother will not agree with me on this topic :). Hey, it's worth a shot!
Today, I also went to Barnes and Noble to buy a book for my Summer trip (I can't bring a library book on the airplane). I found the most interesting book called 'Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo'. I haven't started it yet, but I must say it does look promising. How, you ask, could it 'look' promising? I have disobeyed the old proverb- I have judged a book by it's cover.
And with that, I leave you waiting for my next addition.
I am happy to announce that LLAMAS won as the favorite animal in my poll!
Go LLAMAS!

Store problems...
While picking up some food for dinner with my mom, I came across a display of corn. The advertisement said '4 pack for a dollar'. This sounded like a pretty good deal to me, so I started looking for a good pack (some corn cobs are larger than others-you get a better deal if you buy larger cobs!). During this time, I found a problem- there was a 5 pack in the 4 pack section! Now my question to you all is do you think the cashier would let me off easy with 5 cobs instead of 4,or do you think she would have charged me extra?
On a more positive note, I have luckily found some books to read this Summer! This was a challenge, especially because I am picky and also because my 6th grade teacher already made us read all the good books in class! It's not like I would want to re-read them; although at a point I suppose there are only so many especially good books to read and I might be forced to re-read them. But Luckily, I am growing up, so my range of books to read widens.
Remember to participate in my poll!

Welcome, Welcome!
Hello there and welcome to the first edition of Kajsa's blog. For those who know me, this might be an interesting way to see what's going on in my mind (If you dare!). For those who don't I hope you enjoy this blog and don't think I am totally insane.
As you all know-or should by now- it is Summer time. Summer is a time of sun, water, lemonade, and after a while, boredom. Oh yes, it is very difficult to try and entertain yourself for ~3 months. So this morning, I got up and asked myself "Isn't there something productive I could do this Summer instead of lazing around?” Folks, it was that question that brought me here.
Before I asked myself that eternal question, I did something that made my friends and family seriously question my sanity. I thought I straightened my sheets, made my bed, opened the curtains and went downstairs. It appeared I was incorrect, because in a matter of minutes, my mother hollered downstairs and asked me why I didn't make my bed. I was not sure how to answer her question- I knew I had made my bed and yet, there it sat, it it's complete unmade stage. While I stood pondering what happened (was my mom playing a practical joke on me?) my dad entered the room. This was when I learned the truth. It turns out (he witnessed it all) that I straightened my sheets, made my bed, opened the curtains, unmade my bed and went downstairs. That was my first sign that I have lost it.
