Last Post for 2009 *SIGH*

Well, here it is. The end of the year. Oh, how time flies! Just yesterday, I remember coming into 2009, hoping that the world wouldn't end (you see, for the past decade, it seems that the entire human population has had their mind set on the destruction of our planet). But now, I bring you some interesting information about the Big Bang.

Last night, or the night before, I was watching a program about the Big Bang- rather appropriate for the New Year, I think. Anyways, they had it down to the first second of the universe- how gravity was created, how atoms were formed etc. It was really quite interesting, and I actually understood it. That is, until they got to how mass came to be. They made this huge deal about not knowing about how these atoms acquired their mass- it was the one missing puzzle pieces that no one could figure out.

Then, all of a sudden, a British scientist came up with a theory. Mass was created by an invisible force field that passed through the universe. Yes! It all makes sense now! Something we cannot see or touch, something we have no evidence exists, created mass.

But even though we scientist believe in this theory, we are going to build the world's largest machine in Switzerland, one that takes billions of dollars and hundreds of scientists to build, to prove this theory, which has no real evidence, correct. BEEP! Wrong answer. Am I the only one who finds this theory a bit, lets say, shady?

That actually reminds me of one of those 'Hidden Driveway' signs you see when driving about town. They warn you of a hidden driveway, yes, but if you see the hidden driveway, is it, or is it not, no longer hidden? And if no one has seen this hidden driveway, which must be the case for it to maintain the 'hidden' label, how can they be sure it exists? Folks, these are questions that cross my mind every day.

Anyhow, I just felt that before the New Year came around, I should rant for one more time. You never know when the world will burst into a million tiny pieces, or be attacked by anti matter after all.

Just something to think about. Now we shall wave goodbye to the good, bad and ugly times of 2009, and offer a plate of newly baked cookies to 2010. Or is that Santa Claus. I can never remember.
